You need to constantly work on drills to improve your footwork. These drills will help with balance, agility, closing off the distance, evading strikes, and help control positioning.
As a boxer or fighter in general, you must have decent footwork. If you want to be a champ, you must have GREAT footwork. Make sure you have a strong core (abs, lower back, & hips), work these agility drills, have proper boxing shoes, and train your footwork everyday.
