In this video we talk about improving kick speed by combining more traditional style Taekwondo aspects. A Muay Thai kick is much more harder, meant to build up momentum and power, while a Karate or Taekwondo kick is faster, and more of a linear snap kick.
Combining these two kicks creates the ultimate hybrid kick. You still gain power from the turning of the hips, but by bringing the knee more straight up and snapping the kick sooner, you increase the speed of the kick. Be sure to practice all three types and find what kick is the quickest and works best for you!
